The sweet sound of the children's laughter, the trampling of feet as the family races one another in their games, the smell of delicious BBQ ribs on the grill and the companionship of making memories that will last a lifetime. These sweet notes are what make life worth living for but for many of our elderly and disabled community; these notes are a reminder of the loneliness that has become their reality.
This is something that is happening right in our backyard and we don't even notice it. Our very own neighbors are sitting inside wishing someone would call them and talk for just a little while but we are too busy in our own lives to notice that our neighbor never seems to come outside.
Well we noticed and we decided to do something about it. Our leaders in Royalty Health Care decided to take action on this problem and provide a way that the elderly and disabled community can receive the compassion they need while their caretakers can receive compensation for their time.

What if you could give a few hours a week for your neighbor who may need help with laundry or simply just wants a little company? Would you be willing to care enough to do this? I hope you answered yes because just that small amount of time with one of our elderly or disabled patients means the world to them and to our community. There are so many benefits for both our patients and caregivers when they get involved in our caring act campaign
If you answered yes, it is because one of your neighbors needs your help. Our caring act campaign seeks local help for an elderly or disabled person in their neighborhood. Our hope is that since there is no drive time needed and the schedule ismore flexible, you as our neighbor would help us in providing care to our neighbor in need. Sometimes a person just needs someone to visit them as they may not have family or their family may not visit them. Other times someone is incapable of doing things for themselves such as laundry or washing up and just needs some help. We hope that you will join us in helping the elderly & disabled community.
